Repo! The Genetic Opera will be performed as a shadowcast at All-Con on Saturday March 15th, 2014 at Midnight. The performance will take place on the Oak Ballroom stage on the second floor! Admission to the performance is FREE for All-Con convention attendees.
Due to the theme and content, no convention attendee under 17 will be allowed anywhere near the ballroom unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, in which case we must additionally draw the line at the age of 12 for convention standards.
Due to convention guidelines and Addison city law, many standard REPO! props are prohibited from use in the hotel ballroom. Please don't bring any of your own. Amber Does Dallas will have 'official' prop bags with all the props you will need available for purchase before the show and at our cast table on Friday and Saturday.
The Necromerchant's Debt
Repo! The Genetic Opera, In The Beginning
Repo! the Genetic Opera started as a series of 10-minute operas, one of the most popular entitled "The Necromerchant's Debt" performed by Terrance Zdunich and Darren Smith in 1999. These operas performed around the Los Angeles area, began acquiring a cult fan base. By 2008, after many 10-minute operas, a full length live show, and an off - off Broadway extended run, the world of Repo! the Genetic Opera was filmed and released as a full-length rock opera movie.
